Wiring the VSS into computer harness / ALDL to get to work on DIACOM
Wiring the VSS into computer harness / ALDL to get to work on DIACOM
I did a search, and didnt find any posts on this.
I've got the Miniram and the TPIS '90-and-above computer and wiring harness on my '86 T/A. The system is Speed Density.
Since the trans or computer doesn't use a VSS signal for anything, TPIS never included a wire in the computer harness that the VSS would hook up to. I had to run a hardline from the VSS to the speedo to get things to work in that area.
My main question is how would I go about hooking the VSS wires into the computer connector in order to get Speed information to be processed and be outputted through the ALDL so it can be read on my Diacom?
I'm sure that any of you running the Miniram (and other custom setups for that matter) have seen what I'm talking about. I'd really like to have the MPH info so that I can compare everything when I go to graph my runs prior to chip work.
Thanks guys

Thanks Brent.
I'll be checking the pinout portion of that website when I get home in the early morning hours. Can't connect to the ftp portion of the site here at work for some reason.
Again, thanks so much for the link...probably just what I was looking for.
