Two quick questions...

#1: Is the AT29C256 a direct plug in. Read: No emulators or special programming tricks required.

#2: Does anyone know where I can get the .ecu for the 870 ECM. I can't seem to find it at the gm_ecm website. I'd like to get as much information as possible out of my current chip, like the injector constant, etc from my current ECM. It's been pretty well dialed in, and I know that the person who programmed it had to fiddle with the constant to get it right, and I don't remember what the final result was.

Thanks!

Mojo, the 870 is a C3 ECM. It's slower and has a tiny memory compared to the later ECMs. I'm not sure the data that could be extracted would be of a lot of use when going to a P4 ECM.

Anyone else have an opinion on this?

#1) The AT29C256 is a direct plug 'n play chip for the 730 ECM only. You can make it work with other ECMs by loading the image into the appropriate Memory Area of the chip.

#2) I have no idea where you would find an ECU file for the 870 ECM. I would suggest posting a message to GMECM to see if anyone on there has one.
