No M connector

I was inspecting my ALDL today and the only connection I see on the bottom row was the G...??? Should the M have the visible metal connection like the rest? If so I dont' see it can I use another one for serial data output?

how about D or E. My harness (aftermarket) has two serial connections, M & D or E I think.

I know the 165 only uses pin E where the 7730 needs pin M. This is wht I have heard.
