16134193 Vette Memcal

This has probably been addressed but I couldn't find it. I purchased the 16134193 memcal so that I would have a solid chip to work from. After removing the chip and rpalcing it with a chip burned to remove VATS and change the fan setting I found that the fan remained on. Checked the chip several times and reburned it to see if that was the problem. The problem was with the Memcal itself. After playing with the fan switches awile I swapped the chip to my '87 memcal and the fan problem went away. Should have dawned earlier on me but I'm just starting with the Prom burning. The number is not listed as a 3rd gen memcal and the limp home chips appearantly are not the same.

Also thanks to all on this board. I have lurked here trying to learn about the prom burning process and am greatly impressed with the knowledge of most of the legacy people onboard.

Thanks
