Initial Closed loop problems with SD 7730

Okay, I've got my VE and SA tables looking great. In open loop, the car idles GREAT! Then right before it goes into closed loop, it tries to die. It hesitates and runs roughly for about 30 seconds, before the BLM's come back to normal. Once it's been in closed loop for about a minute, the BLM's come back up to normal and the car runs better at idle from that point on. Idle seems a little irratic though. But what do I need to adjust to get this initial closed loop problem fixed?

Are you using a heated O2 sensor? Sometimes an O2 sensor can be lazy, but still not between 300 and 600 mV if it's cold, which would allow closed loop, but not respond well.

You can check this by revving the engine before closed loop to get some heat into the sensor, and then letting it idle, and then watch how it enters closed loop.

Okay, here are some things I noticed:

1) During open loop the O2 reads normal, then it starts to climb right before entering closed loop. Then after entering closed loop, the O2 fluxuates from 300 to 850 constantly. The O2 counts climb constantly.

2) IAC position is around 220

Any ideas?

The O2 voltages are supposed to fluctuate like that, nothing wrong there. Those IAC counts are pretty hight though, should be down around 20 - 30 at warm idle with the A/C off. Check out the tech articles and do the "reset TPS" procedure.

I assume you mean "Reset IAC" and not "Reset TPS" correct?
