Need help!!!

I may have to get an older laptop which i dont want to but i have a new laptop and im trying to get my aldl cable to work with the usb and have tried three adaptors with cd's and it wont show up and now i bought the internal card pci something another and installed the cd and went into the devise manager on all attempts and still this thing wont work!!! I need help!!!

anyone???? this is so frustrating getting all of this stuff and nothing working.. please help!!

If the USB device is not showing in device manager, you need to get that to work first. Then try to set the comm port of it to match whatever scan program you are using.

I went into the devise manager and all looked good...
but how do i setup the com ports?? i read something that i should go into my bios on startup and make sure that all are enabled but there is nothing in my bois about that??
