I am just about to purchase the kit to burn my own prom's but still have a few questions. Which type of prom should i get? An EPROM or a flash prom? And where can i get the chips? How much do they cost? Sorry about the simple questions but i'm new to this stuff. Any help would be greatly appriciated

I don't know what kind of car you're driving, but i'd recomend flash proms no matter what, they are so easy to use. I think i got mine through JDR for a few bucks each. Do a search on this board and you'll find all the resources you need to get these chips.
