This board is for do it yourselfers only.

If u have an issue with a chip someone provided for you, you need to take it up with them and work with them until it is right.

As always, is everything electrically and mechanically sound on the car?

Before you answer have you checked it all personally 3 times?

Dumb stuff will kill you, everyone here has done it.

If u want to learn about your own tuning and want more info, read the "Tuning Guide" above. Its made for the beginner and has all the info you could ever dream of for starting out.

Doing mail order tuning is almost impossible to nail right off the bat and doing it yourself provides many advantages in the long run.

Absolutely correct - listen to what Jeremy's telling you. I tried a mail order tune for my 383 SuperRam before I got into the DIY stuff. Might as well have flushed the $300 down the toilet for all it was worth. Mail order tuning is at the very best a rough approximation, at least IMO, I don't care what they tell you. Maybe if you do at least 40 or 50 different data logs and new chips from them, but I've never heard of one being willing to do that much - and it would still be an approximation.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. A mail order chip will make the car driveable, but you'll leave lots of potential on the table using one of them.

If I were Alvin, I'd re-write the code a little and re-arrange the tables, such that it can't be copied easily (although, it wouldn't be hard to decypher it, I'm sure, as he's probably not changed much).

Can you look at it yourself yet? The software is as easy to get as a few clicks. Learning about it is addictive. Doing it is worth every penny, and then some.
