Ok i am going to start getting into burning the chips.. what i need to know is if the tech article still has current information.. or if you guys could list what stuff i need and what stuff you use.. thanks guys

The tech article is the best procedure to follow. It is current except for that most people are using the atmel 29c256 flash prom. This prom doesn't need a UV eraser, it erases (electrical) automaticaly when you program it. This means you don't need to buy an UV eraser , althoughI would still recomend getting one.

Do a search for 29c256 or flash and you'll see plenty of info to get you going. These will work for the 165 (MAF) cars as well. its all in the archives.
