I got a harness section from a 91 OLDS Calias. It has the exact same 24 pin BLACK plug, 32 pin BLACK plug, and a 32 pin YELLOW plug, the ECM S/N is 01228706. I can't find a cross reference for this ECM, any help would be great.

88SS,

Delete the zero, and you're looking at a 1228706, compatible with a 16198266 ECM. The only thing similar is that it uses the same 27C256 PROM as some of our V-8's, but that's about it.

This ECM was used in an 89-93 3.3 litre V-6 LG7.

My name isn't Glenn, but go to the technical articles on this site and look for the ecm interchange article. It will tell you everything that you need to know.

Thanks guys, I will just desolder the pin headers from this ECM, and use them for a later project.

As mentioned above, that is for the 3.3 PFI V6s.

You need an ecm from a 3.1 V6 PFI (engine code "T") from a non-Fbody or non-Wbody. Check the 4th digit to see what type of body it is. J bodies (Cavaliers) work just dandy from 90-93, along with Corsicas, Berrettas etc. The key is Engine type "T" 3.1 V6 with non-F or W-body from the early 90s.

That ECM MIGHT work, but there is very little information on it. It is probably a derivative from a 730, but you don't know what "drivers" are missing or added so it is a little bit more of a DIY project...especially considering there are a TON of early 90 Cavaliers lying around.

Glad to see you are now getting into PROM Burning, Ashley.
