Hardwiring WINaldl lead?
I'd like to hardwire in the WINaldl lead to keep the connection ready in the glove box along with the Ostrich (no jokes please!).
Can anyone think of a reason why it shouldn't be wired in all the time? I know there is a resistor of some sort in the serial port connector, would this be 'active' all the time it's wired in or just when I connect the laptop?
Any thoughts appreciated.

If this is a TBI setup don't use the resistor. If it is a MAF setup put a switch on the resistor. Shouldn't have the resistor in use all of the time.

I've just looked at Joby's website and I was wrong, it's the transistor in the DB9 connector than I'm talking about.
It is a TBI set up.
