98 c4 165ecm...

ive burned a chip to reduce the overrich
(bl98 fi90) condition that i have.
leaning the inj volume from 22.4 to 18.6.
the fuel trims cleaned up (bl126 fi 124)
and engine runs a heck of alot better.
are the 89 stock injectors that foulable?
ive removed them, flow checked them on an
injector dyno, pressure checked them and
they pass. install them and YUCH!! the engine
had always stumbled from 1300-1800rpm, until
i trimmed the injector rate.
any thoughts??

Reducing the Injector Constant from 22.4 to 18.9 does not lean it, it richens it when you do not change the physical injectors. Also, unless you have adjusted the Min/Max of the BLM, you cannot get a BLM reading lower than 108.

well i was running stock no mods bl98 and the fi90.
moved the injector setting to 18.6 and it
did move the bl and fi.. i changed nothing
else.
i was wondering if the stock injectors were
not a 'good' style. possible dribbler?
this is a radical change in the trim and have
noticed 8-12deg higher temps.
