PROM changes for a Supercharger?

What changes would be recommended to make to the prom in order for it to work safe and good with for example a Paxton or ATI supercharger?

Or do they work okay with just a standard PROM if the rest of the engine is pretty stock? Been thinking of getting one, but would like to know a bit more about it first, since I want to try to do it myself...

If you're talking about more then 3 lbs boost then you need to start getting serious about the calibration, the syclones used a 2 bar MAP sensor, and the code is hac'd for the application. try sumthin like www.syty.org . Should have a ton of info there about chips and the 1227749 ecm. In the archives at DIY-EFI.org is the pinout changes to run the syty code in a 730 ecm. Depends some on application about what you can do with the crossover memcal deal.

change ecm?
i'm also very interisted in this but cant find enough info in success to tear into a pretty close calebration i've already burned.plus seems that i see daily that you should alwaws get the correct memcal to start out with then go from there.meaning a memcal from a v8 for a v8 so the limp home and est works properly.i'm new to this and have been learning as i go so by no means take what i wrote as fact.just the impression i've concluded so far. i've also herd talk of modifing the bin to accept a 2 bar map and keep the 7330----any one out there with info please reply
thanks pete
sorry forgot to answer the origional q-i've changed many things such as i'm running 30 lb injecters (fords) with the injecter constant set at 31 and fp at 42 psi i've spent many hours ajusting pe tables and spark tables to try to compensate for the boost ine thing for shure is that without a 2 bar map you will never get a perfect bin that you are satisfyed with as you are alwaws fudging somthing i've burned over 100 proms and quit counting have it pretty close but still play with it here and there lookin for more.my aluminum heads also threw in a wrench as the iron timing curve must be changed -i just started burning proms last summer after all my mods were done yours should be some simpler with a stock moter

How much boost can I have with my original MAF system?

Or would I be better off getting a 730 ECM /w MAP sensor if I plan to get a supercharger?

I can tell you this, my brother's 88 Iroc has a 377c.i.d. ATI procharged engine set-up for 15 lbs. of boost. Has AFR heads, fairly mild HR cam, and extensively ported aftermarket TPI parts. The MAF maxes out at WOT at all RPMs, in all gears. It also maxes out at about %50 throttle and above, until it hits PE mode. The relocation of the MAF also screws up the calibration, I've noticed. So, unfortunately, we have to rely on the FMU. So right now, it's either go MAP, and try the 2 bar system if it's possible, or go DFI, Speed-Pro, etc. Good luck.
