Calmap: Read file from disk?

I need some help... how do I read a .glb file from a disk in calmap???? In wich folder sould I copy it to??

Then I have Accel power programmer 74350-c waiting to be installed in my car, Anyone knows how to hook up the MAP and remove the MAF. Two wires from the MAp should go to TPS but the third one???

Anyone else have this unit???

You are using an older model that piggybacks onto the installed 165ECM. You can not import global files into that calmap software.(I think it was version 5.0) You can use CalMap 6.32 software but not all functions are available with the 74350C. You can copy the fuel maps into the fuel maps but only one frame at a time. You do have some pots for trim controls at idle but not much. I do have a schematic somewhere for the hookup to the TPS sensor but, I will have to find it. I will e-mail it to you this evening if I can find it.
Good luck

Correction, I said to the TPS but it is to the MAF hookup as you indicated.
Sorry for the misinformation.

I don't have positive answers for you, but I have an educated guess. What version Calmap are you using? I'm using 6.32 and do not have any ".glb" files. Although you can name them anything you want. The ".glb" file I would guess is a global or universal file. Put it in the universal directory. You should be able to read it through the Edit ECU function, or download it to your system.

As for the MAP sensor, one wire is 5 Volt positive and one is ground. You can pick them up at the TPS, but I would run them directly to the ECU if possible. This will provide less noise and a better signal. The third wire is the signal wire going to the ECU. If my old book here is correct, terminal A on the MAP sensor is Ground (or 5V -), B is the sensor, and C is Positive (or 5V +).

Apparently, ignore the first part...

Ok....

Calmap is version 6.0 .......´but I have 6.32 also.. so I can read the values that I got from a guy with similar setup and then type in them in Version 6.0 "by hand".

MAP-sensor where should the signal go to? In to the "old" maf harnes or direct to the 74350 unit??

Or....should I get a new DFI system ??

Update: Copied file to Universal and I can now read it in calmap 6.32.

And a new question. how dio I delete old programs that the former owner had?

I was converting from a vette 85 ECM 870 to an 86-89 ECM #165. You should have gotten a cable that was to the MAP sensor. The other end should have plugged into the TPS harness and that connector into the TPS. My instruction sheet says to then splice the light green "MAP" wire into the "MAF" dark green wire (+5v)and delete the MAF Sensor. Be careful here because one of the wires in the MAF is a negative 5 volts and another is ground.
I got the MAP kit from http://www.jimsperformance.com , and he can answer any questions about the 74350 his phone # is 410-465-9569. He also sells the newer 74720 DFI computer at around $725.00

He says the 74350 is very difficult to tune at idle since you can only use the two trim pots on the 74350 for adjusting idle. There is no throttle follower provision in the software for the 74350 DFI unit for smoothing idle and deceleration.

I think I would try it and see if it works before buying another unit.

I hope my post is not too confusing. If I can be of any further assistance let me know.

Thanks for the info...

I have the harness it connects two wires to the TPS but the third wire from the MAp is cut, and its orange.....

What calmap versions can 74350 handle?

Thanks again..

/n.
