Whats are the difference between the two pro's and con's. Ease of learning for the new guy

I'm guessing you're refering to Craig Moates' software vs. Tunercat. They are used for two different things.

Tunercat is used to read the information that is stored in the prom and then modify it. It does NOT read directly off the prom. You must first extract that information using your programmer.

Craig's software is a diagnostic program. Once linked up bewteen your laptop and car you can see what the car is "doing".

I'm new at this too but think if you really want to learn this stuff I believe you can, it just takes alot of investment(time more then money) on your part. I'm having some beginner trouble now but no big deal, I'll get through it. It will be worth it in the end.
