yes a 27C256 will work it is actually a 32K chip
the 27c128 is a 16k
all you do is put the bin file in the upper 16k of the 32k chip and leave the bottom half of the chip empty

I personally prefer the AT29C256 Chips, they do not need to be UV erased...
