Engine: 305 TPI going to LT1

Transmission: 5spd

craig or craig's software users

on the knock retard
mine says its pulling on average 30-40 degrees of timing and peaks to 107 for a reading or 2
i'm getting about 10-15 knock counts for 2500-5000 rpms
what i'm wondering is if the knock retard degrees are off by a factor of 10.
i really just want some peace of mind or if i really have a problem

It sounds like it's off by a factor of 10 to me. I seem to remember reading something about Craig's software displaying the knock retard too high by that amount...

Which version are you using? I think Craig has updated the software about a million times now (

Craig ) and he fixed that issue a few updates ago. I remember the program having a problem similar to the one you have stated in one of the earlier versions. I am using v8.43 and it seems to be logging knock counts and retard correctly.
