i was running the craig moates scanner on my car logging during a 1/4 mile run and i notice a problem. during the WHOLE run im getting from 5.5-8.5 degrees of spark retard due to knock. the problem is my timing is dead on 0 degrees TDC, and my o2 sensor was reading ~.900 mV the whole run so i wouldnt think im running lean its a 89 iroc L98 ported stock base, stock chip

What does this have to do with burning your own chips ?

Post it on the General Tech board or the TPI board.

If the chip is bone stock and the timing is at 0 then you have other problems. Maybe a huge vacuum leak or a bad ignition module in the distributor.
