Other than the two links on craig moates site and diacom are there any OTHER alternatives to aldl cables? Is the diacom cable sold somewhere without the software? is it compatable with craig moates software and visa versa?

AFAIK the Diacom cable is parallel, while the AKM or homemade cables are serial.

The Diacom cable may even include some sort of "dongle" copy protection.. This is just a guess on my part, but why else would they use a parallel cable?
