n/v manual transmission ratio table....
Anyone know how to calibrate this table?
Can it be used with a 6spd?
Is anyone using it?

 

There is a post on the calc's for this table. But as usual I can't find it. If or when I do I'll add a link to this thread.

In the mean time, post the rear gear ratio, tire diameter, and trans ratios, and I'll run the calc's. Then post them.

If you are not sure of the trans ratios, I have them for 4 different T56 transmissions. I'll just run them all for you.

The actual N/V ratios for those ratios/tires is as follows:

1st 123
2nd 86
3rd 59
4th 42
5th 33
6th 26

The equation is:

gr being overall gear ratio, td being tire diameter

When used in the calibration gear 0 is halfway between 1st and the value 255. That value being: 189

For the remaining gears lower each N/V value by 10%. This is a fudge for tire growth, wear, and general workability.

Which gives:

0 189
1st 111
2nd 77
3rd 53
4th 38
5th 30

As the N/V ratio is used for the PE SA lookup table. Knowing that the transmission is in 6th vs 5th doesn't make much of a difference. The key is that in the lower gears more PE SA can be used.
