i've allmost finnished it.
i have found the proper address for the 2 constants that were not in the 8f.doc
seems that the 8f.doc is missing chunks around 7xx.
comming along good, just about half way done with the tables, then when i have finnished adding everythign that was in gmpcm, im going to go through the doc, of whats left and try to add the rest in the proper catagories.
it will be "more complete" than gmpcm
and less mistakes
gmpcm had tables cut off, bad eqautions sometimes ect..

Great! Your headings and sub headings are very good. I wonder if it is possible to elimiminate those from the "item summary list" though, perhaps something for future Tuner Pro?
The only thing I know about $8F is; 89-90 3.1 V6 PFI turbo on 727 with 27C256. Do you know where to find more info. Eg, one or two knock sensors, SD or MAP etc? I suppose I could figure this out from your XDF and the hac on Moates site but perhaps this is already in print somewhere?
How did you figure out the axles of the main spark advance table? I don't see those in the "calibration" part of the bin so I assumed they are "hard" coded in the assembly program?
Thanks for sharing your work!

It is SD and 1 knock sensor, DIS ignition. Over on diy-efi is a set of wiring diagrams. Helpful to see what it controlled, how it is set up, and which pins to use.

Perhaps the information is not available yet after the move to "TWiki"? Or I'm searching the wrong place?

the link in the above post doesnt mention the 8f code mask but it was used on 727 as it states the 730 is the same ecu just located in the passanger area under the dash behind the glovebox, instead of the engine bay.
you might think about using azrc with the 8f.
i think the 8f was introduced on the 727 but you can use it on the 730 as well. so i believe, im not an 8f guy yet... lol
i plan to boost in the future and made this in preperation.
im a 9396 df guy:P so my knowledge of 8f and 730/727 ecus is still growing.
oh and
i was thinking about grouping some items so you can use the menu in tunerpro to view only certain things, or all things, but i actually forgot, and remembered when i finnished lol
i just wish the tunerpro had colapsable catagories....

not insufficient, just forgot to use them when i was making the 8f lol
with colapsable catagories, you can still see the catagory and to view the contents of that catagory you can click on it and it opens it up.
i dunno user prefference i guess

I like them but they do tend to get clunky when used in combinations.
The "focus" can be stuck in the filter selection box on my 98SE laptop and require a kill and restart of TP when Emulating. (Keep forgetting to post that)
The "Item list" as in ScannerPro looks to be the ticket for making your own popular lists. That way you can define sets as needed for specific actions you want to work with. Hopefully that aspect can port over to TP.

I like the category functions. They work great I don't see how they could be any better. Is there a way to add double headers to the XDF tables? For example, can the VE table have both a MAP KPA and Vacuum in/hg label at the top of the 3D table?

I see the same thing with my WIN98SE setup. The ALDL ads file selector dialog box does the same thing (steals focus). It gets the focus and will not release it after being closed. The ALDL session log message does it too when it is under the monitor window. I do a ctl+alt+del to kill TP. Do you ever get the "not enough memory" when trying to launch other apps while TP is open and you ran some datalogs for a while? On the WinXP box, it just slows the machine down after about 2 hours of going through datalogs.

Will do.
I'll do some testing tomorrow night and get the sequence down on how it happens. 2 things to test out andget you some feedback on.
Ended up UNDER the car tonight instead of in it

Hi All,
Still new to all this, a few friends and I decided that we were going to inject a four cyl turbo(2.0 ltr.) and started with the 58a in a 1227727(off road )
In short it didn't work (dono why). Found the 8f (turbo 1227727), I would like to know where the :max retard relative to ref
:max advance relative to ref
Also (not like that is enough) where I can get info on the tdf editor(I have a legit program) W ith that info I can get 3 rigs going (one's mine)
PS turbos are more simple to rebuild than program around.
