highway mode with $0d mask

well im getting my tune much better and blms are close no surging. im happy now with the way it runs. ive still got tuning to do but im going in the right directions. any way. haulin$$ mentioned that setting the bit at l400d is lean cruise mode. i would like too start fooling with this to get some better milage. can anyone help me understand it. the temp enable threshold is set at 150dec celsius if less than? that would enable the open loop afr table all the time. is this what i want? or what temp should i set for this to start working? can this method be used too get better milage and not loose performance when i step on it? thanks.

Leaner is not always better!.

One item often forgotten, is that it takes a given amount of energy to push a car/ truck down the road. So while you might change the amount of TPS for a given cruise speed, the actual Pulse width might be the same. While the code often provides for leaning things out, that would suggest (to me) that the dynamic AFR was too rich.

To date the best MPG I've gotten was with a ~13.5:1 AFR.

The oil temp., was also reduced.

I have been messing with highway mode/lean cruise mode with my $OD and am getting somewhere a little at a time... I think. I will probably be posting some questions myself in a couple of days. Check out the other post here at this page: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...ts-time-6.html

Hauln tells how to do it. Do you have a wide band o2? I really wouldn't suggest messing with highway/lean cruise mode without one.

I briefly looked at your datalog. You need to set your TPS to .53V when at 0%tps, this should get your WOT TPS to be something like 99.6%.
