PrkNeut light in What's Up Display
Can someone explain why the PrkNeut light comes on and stays lit after coming out of park?

that shows what the ECM is seeing from the P/N switch.
the ECM uses it mainly for idle speed, canister purge, & maybe timing & EGR control.
in park & neutral it should show one way, in any other gear it should show the other way.

The Park/Neutral input to the ECM should be grounded when in prk/neut. The in-Drive position is open, the input not tied to anything (manual trans is always that way). This is typical for many GM setups including the 3rd gen f-body's.

A little off topic...What kPa do you idle at? I have the same cam, I'm curious how it runs N/A.
