Open Loop BLM Question

Let's say my engine is initially running lean in open loop due to an injector constant set to 32 when it should be set to 28. Let's say over the long term, the BLM numbers in most cells wind up in the 140 - 145 range.

Later on, when I start the car again and the ECM is back in open loop, will it reference the corrected BLM cells (140 - 145) while in open loop, and therefore not be lean (which is what I think happens), or does it use 128 in open loop, regardless?

I want to make sure I understand the process correctly.

Thanks!!
Dan

Re: Open Loop BLM Question

It will use the BLMs even in open loop. They may not be the same value as when the engine was shut off. Some code masks will set upper & lower limits on the BLM values at key on. Others used a filtered, learned in and saved BLM value at key-on.
