things aren't matching up... please help
I have an 87 IROC with a 350. I just recieved my autoprom and have copied my original chip info to tunerpro rt. I'm using 32B.xdf that I downloaded from moates site to view my info. When I click on fuel cut off (for example) it says 15.0 RPM's. How does that make any sense?
And I've tried to find this answer but haven't had luck... Can I burn the ARAP program into my computer and use the 6e.xdf?
I think maybe I'm not fully understanding what the .xdf's do... maybe I'm using the wrong one? At first I used the 6e.xdf to view my chip and the numbers really didn't make sence.
please help get me on the right track.
John

The XDF file defines the locations and the math of the BIN calibration parameters. The MaskID ($6E, $32B) defines the calibration layout within the BIN. That part is a GM thing.
For the 15 RPM fuel cut, it may be the wrong BIN, or the XDF file is incorrect. The XDF's are put together by someone with the drive to do it. And, like everything, they can make mistakes.
You can use ARAP, but will need to change some things. It is a Vette BIN for an aluminum headed 350. Try searching on 'ARAP', 'fan', and 'switch.' That should bring up some posts on using ARAP in an f-body. There may also be links in the guide book sticky on this.
