installing moats zif, serious question
on the stock memcal, i notice that there are 2 chips soldered to the board that are to the right of the prom chip.. do i need to put those on the new moates chip? also is the moats memory adapter a plug and play? or do i need to solder that as well. thank you

nope, not at all, those are the chips that kcik in if the PROM fails and are the 'limp home mode' chips. actually, by using the adapter, those chips' leads go right through the adapter like nothing is there, but the original prom does not, because the new prom/zif sockets takes it's place.
