Crank Fuel Multiplier vs Reference Pulses setting?
Crank Fuel Multiplier vs Reference Pulses setting?
Hi Guys, wanted to know what values to set my multiplier column to??...I am currently running my stock 88 bin with 32B and is running great but have that pesky slow crank issue which many of you also had..I noticed when I leave the car sitting for days without driving it it will fire up instantly when I start it but when I drive it day to day I get that slow crank issue...my ref pulses are 0-128 and my multipliers are all set to 1.00(stock set up)..What would be the best multiplier setting in order for it to start up right away or close to right away??
thanks
thanks

I recall ARAP doing this, but not the earlier BINs. With ARAP there is a Crank Fuel PW Multiplier vs DRP Count table. The slow start issue is caused by having the first 8 entries (first 8 DRPs) set to 0. Which delivers no fuel.

The version of $8D that I started with in my IROC had the same deal....first 8 DRP's delivering no fuel. I never understood that.
As far as getting your car to fire up faster, you need to figure out whether it's getting too much fuel too fast, or not enough, and then adjust to compensate. I'm in the middle of a similar issue with the $6E code on a buddy's car.
