does anyone know lt1 stuff??????
I feel my lt1 engine questions are neglected. Maybe no one knows anything about them????? Where can I get good tuning info for it. I have had great luck with my 383 in my 92 which is still a 730 ecm but my 95 lt1 engine is giving me problems with things I have never seen. Lots of people looked at the posts but not one answer. How about this. Isnt it normal for any car no matter the ecm if you go to wot it should change to the preset values (open loop closed loop)? What causes this? Mine isnt doing it any more just out of the blue. I found a table for a time limit for the change but not a tps percent or anything that could stop the change. I feel if this was a 8d or 6e everyone would be all over it. I have managed to make a stock tpi intake get into the 11s at 116 na with stock l98 ported heads and a small cam which is a huge acheivement as most cars I read about with factory tpi are lucky to see 112mph. Soon to see the gains of a hsr on the combo which should be 3 to 5 mph and .3 to .5 gains from the couple of people I saw did the same swap on 350s and 383

Re: does anyone know lt1 stuff??????
Well, this is a 3rd Gen site. Technically, we are suppose to lock all posts that are not related to 3rd Gens. However, we have convinced the Admins to no require us to do that as an LT1 can be installed in a 3rd Gen.
But, the response you get is on a "best effort" basis as we all own 3rd Gens and even yourself admit that you have done well tuning your 92 - well, the majority of us own & drive 3rd Gens, so we know 3rd Gens and their components; not 4th Gens or an LT1. Thus you shouldn't be too surprised (or critical) if you don't get much of a response for your LT1.
Similar as a 3rd Gen owner, I would expect much assistance on an LT1 or LS1 site for my 3rd Gen.

Re: does anyone know lt1 stuff??????
I've played with a 95 LT1 that I swapped into my sisters 91 Z28. I used Tunercat, since I already owned the program, and used Datamaster to datalog. It is very easy to do changes, then upload them. You can't do real time emulation though.
Here are a couple of websites I visited when I had questions like you have.
www.camaroz28.com - Great PCM board there
http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/LT1Edit/LT1files.htm - Bin files
http://www.zeeya.cz28.com/tuning.htm - more bin files
You are already familiar with how to tune, just need to start doing it. lol
Good luck

Re: does anyone know lt1 stuff??????
it is in a 91 formula which I believe is a third gen. I figured enough of the lt1 swaps had been done not like the harder ls1 swaps. Those who gave advice with out complaining thanks....
