EBL flash question?
EBL flash question?
I have a EBL flash system and want to do a couple small adjustment. I don't remember which bin I had the EBL running on last. How could I read from the EBL so I know for sure what I'm working with? I know there's a read bank function in the WUD but I'm not sure how it works.

With the Flash Bank radio buttons select the bank you wish to read.
In the Action Box, click on the Read Bank radio button. The Update/Program Bank filename will gray out, and the Read Bank filename will activate.
Press Select BIN to open the file menu. Select or enter the filename that you wish the BIN to be written to. You can overwite an existing file or create a new file for the BIN.
Then press the Apply button (key-on, engine-off).
Done (takes about a second). The BIN in the selected bank will be read and written to the file.

Re: EBL flash question?
Binder
Once you did EBL conversion ECM will have 0-7 banks of 'EPROM' data. Some of these banks maybe blank and some will have EPROM data if you have put it there before (flashed it). It is like having an eight position selector switch, but it is all internal to ECM, not in a lap top. Whats-up is just a GUI to make bank selection easier for the user.

Re: EBL flash question?
I guess my question didn't make much sense. What I should have asked is how do I know which bank is active? I have all banks flashed different but only want to read the current one.
Thanks again.

Don't click on the Bank Select box as that will/can change which bank is active. First, be sure to see which one is reported active.
