Timing issue?

Does anyone know why at cruise my actual value of spark advance and what the spark table says are way off? i mean like 10-15 degrees off. It seems like its pulling the timing for the LV8 being 208 at 2000 (26 degrees), as opposed to being like 60-70, which would be about 40 degrees.

Re: Timing issue?

Whats the distrib set at?

Whats the base in the chip set at?

Does your scan tool display timing + base or just the timing, etc?

Some masks and scan tools dont quite give all the info correctly.

If thats not the case, then look at your bin and see what else may be on/off as mentioned.

later

Re: Timing issue?

Distributor is at 5 degrees advance, as it is set in the bin...the timing value in tuner pro is relative to TDC, so it effectively has base timing factored in already...like i said egr and highway spark are turned off..
