Can't data log at 8192
I just got my usb to serial cable and tried to do some datalogging in Tuner Pro RT. The first attempt at 8192 almost worked. I got the "connected" message and started getting data. But most of the data was junk. The PROM ID was right, but none of the data values were. So I stopped logging, checked everything, and tried again. This time Tuner Pro wouldn't connect at all at 8192. So I tried 160. No problems at all. It will connect and collect data just fine at 160 baud, but at 8192 baud it won't connect at all. Any thoughts? I am running this on Linux (through wine) and using a usb to serial converter. I realize that this setup could be problematic, but everything works flawlessly at 160 baud, so I think the linux/usb thing is ok. Any thoughts?

What version of TP RT are you using?
I'm finding a problem for me with the lastest release, in XP.

I did a search and the 165 ecm can do 8192 if the right code is loaded. I am using ARAP with 6E mask so I think I'm good.

if it's the factory '165, you might want to borrow one from someone to verify it's not the ecm. They are notorious for having problematic connection issues, supposedly due to poor solder reliability. It would rule out if the connection problem was on the PC side of things, or on the car side of things.
'165 will transmit at 8192 baud. using 32b or 6e, it works. I believe only with 32 (early code) does the higher speed not work correctly, and may be why the ecm is always incorrectly referenced as 160 baud only.

Re: Can't data log at 8192
Turns out it was the serial converter. I took my desktop computer out to the garage and started it up with windows. Result was datalogging at 16 works on serial port and usb->serial converter. Logging at 8192 only works on serial port. The funny thing is that the cable test passed with the serial converter. I know some serial converter have issues with TPRT, but I don't understand why it works at 160 but not at 8192.
