Autometer-Cobalt Wideband Gauge??

Im looking into getting one of these gauge set ups finally and was wondering if anyone has any experiance with this particular one??? I like the price, unless someone can show me one for less money? Plus it will hook up to a datalogger etc. It also matches the rest of my dash. Any thoughts?? THanks

Re: Autometer-Cobalt Wideband Gauge??

While I have all autometer Phantoms in my car I couldn't bring myself to spend 300 bux on that gauge...why....I'm only interested in my WB AFR while I'm getting my tune right. While I'm tuning in the garage, on the dyno or on the road I have my laptop & Tunerpro RT to tell me what I need to know.
I'm using an Innovative LC-1 so I also did want the extra cost of having another WB02 sensor. IF they could sell the gauge only I might be interested.
There are cheaper solutions than an Autometer WB02.

Re: Autometer-Cobalt Wideband Gauge??

I bought the LM1 works well and have in box ready to install today is the pod gauge for pillar.

This is the basic WB setup from innovative with permanent install:

their software is what make this a good value. I am uncertain what TP RT offers as far as datalogging A/F with WB. I assume that is what you would do.

The LC1 without the gauge would work too and again it would give you output to TP RT or the software Innovate provides.

My LM1 allows datalogging anytime I wish and need not have my laptop with me. After a few datalogs I can load results into laptop later. The black box meter sits in counsel box between seats out of sight with lead from WB sensor.

Re: Autometer-Cobalt Wideband Gauge??

The LC-1 is just like the LM-1 except for the LM comes with a monitor box. Tunerpro has options for like 5 or 6 different mfg's of WB02's. The outputs of the LC-1 leads piggyback into the ECM harness. I could also skip the ECM and read direction from the WB02 and a serial cable to my laptop using Innovatives software that comes the the WB02 sensor.

I can datalog using my laptop and ALDL port (monitors WB02 readings) and also program on the fly with my Ostrich. The LC-1 saves you about 100 bux over the LM-1 and Autometer WB02's but you need a laptop to datalog / tune.

If you really want a gauge you could get the Moates O-Meter.
