Need Comparison Engine (6'er)

This only applies to 86-89 2.8's ('302 ecm). Need your average LV8, g/sec and BPW at idle, low speed cruising (30mph) and highway cruising (55mph) (or better yet a datalog) so I can compare it to what my '165 w/ $32B is telling me. Looking for a healthy, mostly stock engine but since that may be hard to find give me the details on your engine.

Now onto how it's going on my end. Idle is solid, better than when it had an '870. Low end response is good and low speed cruising is decent, but an occasional misfire. BLM's stay fairly close to 128, but the INT flies all over the place between 128 and pegging at 75, averages 100. Hot restarts are occasionally problematic, down on power and dataloggs show it's cutting timing, not sure why. Slight hesitation at ~60% throttle, but not substantial. Overall it's running well, but down on power. I've transfered as much of the stock calibration as I can find with a few minor changes to improve driveability. I don't have access to a $3A hack (not sure if one exists) so I had to fudge a few things, but I'd say it's 80-90% stock tune.

Re: Need Comparison Engine (6'er)

Thanks, that actually helps alot. I can use that to guestimate pw and idling LV8, and once I have that figuring out the rest shouldn't be too hard. I didn't expect to get a response because there isn't a publicly available aldl def. file as far as I know.

Re: Need Comparison Engine (6'er)

if you use winALDL, it has a definition for '85 and '86 2.8L mpfi. the only problem with using it on an 88 like my brother's is the "BAT" byte is not actually the battery voltage. The RAW value of that byte is actually LOAD... the converted value is useless.
