MEMCAL decode
MEMCAL decode
Hello...
I have a 730 ECM (remanufactured Delco box) that supposedly came out of a 91-92 Camaro 5.7L automatic.
The MEMCAL inside it is a "ATNY 5672" version.
I have no reference on this particular MEMCAL to determine if it is actually 5.7 or 5.0L TPI.
Can someone on the forum look at their listings and see if you concur about this MEMCAL? The GMECM FTP site seems to be down for the count again, so that is of no help to me at this time.
Otherwise, I will need to do a EPROM dump and look at the cal with TP.
Thanks for any assistance.

Bob...
Thanks for the decode. The MEMCAL was supposedly out of a 350 (5.7L) 91 Caramo with 700R4 auto boz.
An LB9 is a 5.0L, so I now know at least what the injectors should be.
I had a friend send this to me to look at the HW(ECM) for function. He is building a 5.7L (iron 85-earlier heads) into a TPI. from a carbureted motor. He also wants to possibly get the fuel rail and injectors from the donor car, so I guess I need to have a conversation with the salvage yard.
At least the NetRez ICs are correct for his application, and I know we will end up changing the cal anyways since the RAR and tires are different.
But at least I now know where I am starting from in giving him some advice.
I also at least know the ECM works on my bench, but my bench could care less if its a 5.7L or a 5.0L. Hence the question.
Thanks again....

Re: MEMCAL decode
The injectors (and prom) can easily be made to work on a basically stock SD TPI 350 car. The main thing that needs to be changed in the eprom, is the "Cylinder Displacement" to correspond with a 350's (719cc IIRC). The ECM will then properly control the 305's 19# injectors correctly to work on a a 350.
