tuning off the INT and datalogging question

Fast355 told me I now need to freeze the BLM's or LT trims as Datamasters calls them and tune using the INT or ST trims as Datamasters refers to it. Ok simple enough. I set the min and max BLM's to 128 and datalog and sure enough I'm getting quite a bit of variation on the ST trims and LT trims are stuck right at 128 like it should be. So I pull up the histogram for the ST trims and everything is 128 or within a few tenths of 128, and the same on the LT trims (I looked just out of curiosity). So either he failed to mention something or I'm confused as ever again. While datalogging I saw ST trims from 120 up to 138 so I know its got its rich and lean spots but why won't they show up in the histogram? Am I doing something wrong? Without the histogram this could very well take me forever to do when it only takes a few minutes normally.

Try setting the min max to something between 128 128 and 108 160 and see if your ST blm histogram start to vary a bit. Read in a post that if the ST blm max's that you have to increase the spread to see what is happening (rich lean). Not sure if this will answer your question? I use "openoffice" freeware to spread sheet the data. Reads excel has charts ect. can plot rpm vs trim ect. I hope this may help.

I Beleive that you have your settings backwards. I was sure that the Blm was the short term fuel and that the Int controlled long term fuel. Im not a 100% on this but that is how I tune. Start with getting the blm's close and then worry about tuning the int. Just my thoughts.

I believe the INT is short term and BLM is long term. I think the BLM updates slowly from the feedback from INT change. Somewhere there is an explanation in the stickies as to what needs to occur for a BLM change.
