Reset ECM after each Prom Change?

Should I rest the ECM each time I change a prom? Reason I ask, I just got a WB, to help with my tuning. My NB said I was running very lean at idle, and ok everywhere else. I had been richening up the idle areas in maf table 1. now, with the wideband, when I idle the car, it is so rich, I can't stay in the car, it smells so bad....so I go back to my base tune, that my NB said was slightly lean, and the WB still says it's so rich, it is below 10.0 on the WB. I try and lean it out just a bit on my next burn, and it is only marginally better @ 10.6 on the WB. I reset the ECM, and crank it back up, and now the WB says it is lean, to the tune of 17.0 on the WB??? so, am I missing something here, or do I just have another problem?? Sorry this was so long, but I need some help here...

Cheers,
Michael

Re: Reset ECM after each Prom Change?

Check if the mask you are using has a key-on init for the BLM array. If so set the upper & lower value to 128 along with any SAM min/max values. That will reset the BLMs to 128 each time you key-on.
