anyone know anything about newer ecu tuning?

a friend has a s10 350 swap that aparrently is running a 6 cylinder ecu in limp mode..... its from a 94 z code lb4 v6 for an s10

I dunno how its even operating the engine.

how would we tune the newer vcm module (memcal) for a v8? Is there a stock vcm module we can use for this ecu?

I guess it RUNS but is dysmal. Anything that would make it run like stock would be ab improvement.

I know NOTHING really about the newer gm stuff, im still having fun tuning the older style equipment. If theres an easy answer here thats great, but if thats not the case we still need to make this better.

Would a different ecu from the same family but from a V8 model plug in? I cant even find if there was such a thing.

if its the funky sealed under hood PCM, i think you might be SOL. im not sure if those came with the '427 mounted under the dash. if it does indeed have a '427, then you would be in much better shape.
