pump shot setting ???

I was wondering is there a correct way ? ??? to adjust the pump shot in a bin, lets say if you had a lean condition. [pop on accell] And you wanted to raise it. -- I no you should keep it smooth, but was wondering if ther was a math method involved that is better to use.---- I HAD ORIG BEEN set two bins to try from two diff people,, and they had modified thier pump shot, but were identical. and thats why i ask.

Re: pump shot setting ???

I thought having datalogs of Ae events with WB were important. Now maybe I feel less so. I think all a WB datalog shows it the occurrance of a AE event and the change in A/F through the event. I ended up just using seat of pants.

When I had the 7747 I was "stuck" with a 0-25% tps table that did not have as much resolution as my current EBL that is 0-50% TPS. I think the EBL AE-MAP also has more resolution as well. not sure there. Also the EBL VE tables are expanded and VE and AE are somewhat interrelated. In the EBL logs is a "dump log". I believe it tells you the split of quantity of AE TPS vs MAP and duration of each. That might allow you to see which needs some tweek.

Re: pump shot setting ???

I had a hell of a time getting AE sorted out after my '165 swap. It's really one of those things you just have to experiment with untill it feels right. I'd datalog and see where it was lean, richen it and test it again until I didn't see a lean condition on the logs, but it still didn't feel 'good'. I ditched the laptop and had it nailed in an hour.

Re: pump shot setting ???

I had mine lower but keep in mind that it may waste fuel. I think stock is 70% and I have it at 50% currently. Having it very low may just be a crutch for a poorer VE table?

From 1600 too 2400 rpm mine stock was 50,,% ---800 and 1200 rpm was 60 %,, ---and 400 rpm was 25 % -thats the stock ASDZ BIN, -- And i was told to lower the PE ENABLE VS % TPS, AND I READ YOU have to lower this if you raise your A.E. alot.
