When my GTA was still basically stock L98, I routinely got 30 Miles/US Gallon before I modified the engine extensively. I had all my emissions equipment working including the EGR. In fact, the EGR was a key part to obtaining that mileage.
Do some searches as I made plenty of posts on this subject, including things I tried and experimented with. I think there is even some links to my posts in the "Tuning Stickie".

i use it. 29.7 hiway is my best so far.
