EBL questions
I may do something different and buy the EBL stuff FIRST. I'd like to learn to tune before I need to.
1) Is there upside potential in the L03 just by tuning?
2) Does the EBL come with any "better" tuning than stock?
Thanks

Your questions can be answered in multitude of ways. A bone stock LO3 is limited in its potential for reasons that have been brought up in too many past posts. LO3 - it is what it is, not much else to say. However, LO3 like any SBC before has a potential for increased performance.
To extract that potential requires improvements in its volumetric efficiency - better cam with matching heads, exhaust and intake system to match, etc. To make all these changes work EFI system must be tailored to provide sufficient and appropriate amount of fuel over wire range of operating conditions. Stock ECM programming will be out of range and as you well know by now difficult to alter.
Enter EBL (together with WBO). EBL provides even a novice EFI user sufficient tools to solve fueling issues for even the most radically altered engines. As for a bone stock LO3 - I'm hesitant to say if you are going to see substantial performance improvements. Yes, certain improvements can be achieved, but at what cost? Others my have a different point of view.

Re: EBL questions
It has been seen that even with a BONE STOCK LO3 an increase of 25 to 30 hp with just tuning alone. Maybe Fast355 will come in and comment. He would probably know.
