Just a quick question? Im going to Tpi from Tbi and will be using the EBL flash conversion. Other than repining a few connectors at the ecm.Can I just splice in 3more injector wires per side to run the Tpi system. Tbi just has 4wires 2ground and 2power for the injectors. Can i just spice in the Necessarry wires from those to power the other six additional injectors when I do the intake swap?? Using the EBL to keep wiring more simple and tuning easier etc. Any help would be great!! THanks

 

You need to place 4 port injector connectors on each pair of wires. The port injectors use a different connector then the TBI injectors. Note that each set of 4 injectors are wired in parallel.

Also need to extend the IAC & TPS wires and wire in different connectors. Although which connectors may vary according to what year TPI setup it is. Check the TPI TB to see which connectors are being used.

Once the connectors are changed over it is plug and play.

Ya I knew that the plugs where different. Just needed to confirm that you can spice in the additional injector wires and go! Isnt there a couple of wires that need to be repinned at the ecm harness when going from the 7747 to the EBL though?? Thanks

 

Generally no. The EBL Flash ECM pinout is the same as the '7747 with additional functions. The EBL supports an electric fan and an IAT/MAT (the '7747 doesn't). So you can add these wires in. Although they aren't required. Same for A/C relay control and a solenoid activated CCP setup.
