hesitation on T blip in neutral
hesitation on T blip in neutral
If I do a quick blip of throttle at stop sign engine warm I get the hesitation. when clutch engaged and same in first gear it will hesitate slighly and go nicely. It is obvious it is lean. Is this something that is not going to be avoided with 7.4L TBI but can I improve upon it? I have already increased the TPS filter 25% and Map 30%. I dont think I need more TPS AE but shouuld I app more from 400-1200 rpms? Or is that a MAP event and go there as MAP is changing quickly from 38 at idle? Seems carb cars with pumpshot do not have this issue. Is that because our fule is delivered above the butterfly and the atomization is compromised.
On a side note when car is OL with lower coolant temps the delay is gone nearly 100%. Obviously there is more fuel in intake tract and A/F is enrichened considerably.
I idle OL 14.9/1 on WB with 13.9/1 in OL tables.

Re: hesitation on T blip in neutral
First is to correct the AFR at idle, increase the VE% to make the WB reported AFR match the commanded AFR.
Increasing the MAP & TPS AE Filters reduces the duration and volume of AE.
To bring dTPS AE in with less throttle movement reduce the delta TPS% required for AE value: AE - Delta TPS% Threshold for AE
RBob.
