PP2/ romulator?
I have a pocket programmer 2 and would like to know if it can be made to romulate/ emulate, I seen that on the classifids
on this site but could'nt email.
Re: PP2/ romulator?
They used to sell an emulator to work with the pocket programmer. I have one. I think it was called the I-emulator.
There is a small circuit board with 32 pins, which fits into the pocket programmer, and ribbon cable with 24 pin adaptor to replace the eprom in a memcal socket.
The one I have is labeled Rom Emulator Rev 2A and works with the program Win Rom. I've only used it a couple times.
It seemed to be fairly sensitive to supply voltage and didn't always work well in the car with a 9 volt dc adaptor plugged into the pocket programmer. I would typically use a 12 volt to 120 volt ac inverter and the ac adaptor, which made for a clumsy set up in the car.
It was easier for me to just carry a supply of eproms.
I think this has been replaced by the standalone Pocket Romulator.
