closed loop

what are ALL the requirements for a TPI motor to go into closed loop?
I know there is a timer, coolant temperature,
what else ??

I'm assuming a heated o2 sensor will not help it go into closed loop any faster with a stock BIN?

Re: closed loop

Coolant Temp, O2 ready, and Time.

From various bin hacks, XDF's, and TunerPro.

Eprom/ ECM constants arap 6E

Loc 445 Minimum engine temp before O2 sensor is used. This is a Closed Loop enable, coolant temp.

Loc 446 Hot Closed Loop Timer Temp Threshold If the engine is above this, it is considered "cold" and the timer value for hot closed loop will be used to determine when the car will enter closed loop.If the car is between the hot and cold temp thresholds, it is considered "warm".

Loc 447 Cold Closed Loop Timer Temp Threshold If the engine is at or below this, it is considered "cold" and the timer value for cold closed loop will be used to determine when the car will enter closed loop.If the car is between the hot and cold temp thresholds, it is considered "warm".

Loc 448 Cold O2 Closed Loop Timer.

Loc 449 Warm O2 Closed Loop Timer

Loc 44A Hot O2 Closed Loop Timer.

Loc 44B 699 mvdc, If o2 Volts > Threshold then o2 is ready.
Loc 44C 199 mvdc, If o2 volts < Threshold then o2 is ready.

Loc 44D If o2 in window formed by Loc 44B & Loc 44C for "X" Sec, o2 state
NOT READY (shifts back to Open Loop) "X" = 10 sec.

This is all I know about, could be more. Different chips have different constants, this is for ARAP $6E.

Re: closed loop

The sensor itself has to be brought up to temperature as well. A heated O2 is required for headers since the sensor can cool off at low engine speeds and fall out of closed loop.
