Second guessing myself on a 746 ECM running a 454 (ANTY)
I have an ECM from a Caprice that used to run a 350 TBI motor.
The only readable part of the sticker on the ECM case states the tune code: ANLU.
That leads me to believe that it is a 1228746 ECM. Is that correct? (Q1)
I would like this ECM to run a 454 TBI engine. I've read that the 1227747 ECM ($42) for the 7.4L TBI is almost identical to the 746. And I found a ANTY tune for it. Is that correct?/Can I run a 454 ANTY tune on a 1228746 ECM? (Q2)
If the ECMs are interchangeable, is it true then that I can use a 305 TBI engine harness to make the 746 ECM run the 454? (Q3)
Thanks in advance for any answers.
Lou

ANLU is a '8746 PROM ('89 cop car calibration actually).
You can't run a '7747 PROM or BIN in a '8746.
However, you can copy many of the ANTY (7.4L, TH400) calibration parameters over to a '8746 BIN to use in a '8746 ECM.
You can also use the '7747 harness with a '8746 ECM. Note that there won't be a wire for the IAT sensor. Can either add that wire or un-check the flag for the IAT error codes.

Thanks for the answer, RBob!
I was hoping it would be a little simpler but we'll see how well I can copy the 454 tables to the $61 chip.
If anybody has any more tips/advice, I'm listening.
Thanks again.
