Tuning help for 1988 iroc
Using tunerpro, burn2 with adapters, and stock ecm. I've got a 1988 iroc that i have done a motor swap on. The new motor is a 383, heads are 1.94/1.6 valve size (older small block heads) The compression is 10.5:1 The specs on the roller cam are 290/300 adv duration, 222/230 @.050, .468/.480 with 1.5 roller rockers, 110lsa.... It has 1.6 rockers so the lift is actually .499/.512 at the valve. 32lb. injectors and heated o2 sensor. Just wanted to know where to start when trying to tune this thing? Also when i switch the rear-end or the intake what factors would come into play. Thank you for any help.

Re: Tuning help for 1988 iroc
* Change inj.size and maybe the crank PW tables if its hard to start.
* bump up Idle speed ( you can lower it later when the tune is getting better)
* Bump up idle timing some to help it idle around 24deg maybe
start and log and start tuning
I usually starts with
* idle + rev
* maybe some hot start
* carefully drive easy (around the block)
* tune 50/70/90/110 km/h
* acce and deacc
* WOT
change the timing some and restart....
always take it easy and slow and watch WBO2 and loggs....
