WBO2 in H-pipe

Hi,
how do You think is it good idea to mount WBO2 sensor in H-pipe in dual exhaust system. WB will be used by ecu. (MegasquirtII extra)

Absolutely. You must mount 9 to 3 o clock with sensor tip facing down so OK if you have room. I did not. I have an inverted U connector pipe. At first I had in ext pipe at collector but due to failures of sensor I moved back about 16 inches in ext pipe. No more failures. I would invest in the optional extender or make your own to increase sensor life. Innovate suggested moving it back as well as adding the extender to improve sensor life.

So if you mount it in thr H pipe you get a average
of both banks?

Re: WBO2 in H-pipe

Average of both banks? I presume so. I dont think it makes a lot of difference. sometimes the design of manifold will dictate which cylinder are lean or rich. that was my experienmce with my prior aftermarket manifold/plenum. 3 plugs rich and 3 lean and 2 OK. I never checked my plugs since my cam swap and intake swap(holleyprojection) done over two seasons ago. I will pull 4 of 8 this spring and take a look see. WB shows 15.0/1 at cruise and ext is clean at idle at 14.7/1 on WB commanded to 14.3/1 OL.
