Spark Help

I just can't leave things alone in the $OD definition what tables take away spark . The coolant compensation spark vs vac i have zero'd out in the running area's and i have something taking my spark away . I know my PE is not taking it away i have EGR turned off and my KR is zero'd out . Can some one offer some suggestions as to what else i can look at .

Re: Spark Help

When is spark being pulled out? Or is it all of the time? Mine mysterious loses timing during WOT runs. Happens on initial launch, as some a throttle is opened, but before VSS registers movement.

Re: Spark Help

Sounds like either burst knock retard or torque managment retard.

RBob.

Re: Spark Help

I had my coolant compensation spark vs vac in the running area's plus degree's so i could compensate for the lose of ten deree's . It is really wierd 10 degree's clean across the board . I will look into the BKR and the TMR played with that a bit and had no luck so means only one left i hope ? TY

Re: Spark Help

My torque managment retard is set to zero and my burst knock retard is only for a split second after take off . Their has to be some small setting or table that is not just right and will take a head beating to find it . Any other suggestions welcome .

Re: Spark Help

actually i did figure it out finally , it was a combination of a few things my initial spark advance , main spark bias all played a part in the actual timing . I zero'd out my spark advance at the distributor and the rest fell in place .
