ecm flashing question
Hey guys, I have a 91' Trans Am that originally had a 305 tpi 5spd., however due to some unfortunate events I have to replace it with a 350 tpi 5spd. set up however i was still using the 305 ecm. Everything was going fine on it until it started to randomly shut off on me while driving about 4 months later and not starting back up till it was cooled down a bit. After checking everything possible I've come to the conclusion that i think the ecm it toast. I've been having some issues trying to find a ecm for this car cause it has speed density.
So heres my question I have found a ecm at the yard from a 88' GTA 350tpi, auto car. Is there any way that if I was flash this ecm that I can change it to read the speed density sensor instead of a maf sensor?

Re: ecm flashing question
The 88' ECM has an external ESC module, the ESC is intergrated in the '91 ECM making it's memcal incompatibile with the '88 ECM.

Re: ecm flashing question
Check all of your injectors to be sure none of them are less than 12 ohms.
Should be around 14-16 ohms each IIRC. Do a search to confirm the correct value for yours.
That will make it act as you describe and a new ECM will not fix it.
