im trying to diagnose an s10 with an 8062 ECM.
i downloaded winaldl for this application

i had an AKM cable and 10K box from AKM that was purchased for a 88 vette

im using a parallel port on the back of my laptop, and a parallel cable from my printer to connect to the 10K resistor box


whn i went to hook up today, i got nothing. the idle characteristics of the truck changed, but no info was being transferred. what am i missing? i googled for a how to on using this, and it just seems that youre supposed to be able to hook the cable up, fire up the car, and start the program.

so what am i missing here???
